How do I book an appointment?

The fastest method is to call or text the salon within our opening hours. There is also the option of messaging the salon via our Facebook or Instagram page. Please keep in mind that we are only a small team can’t always get back to you straight way, your patience is appreciated. For all our contact details, please head to our Get In Touch page.

Why can’t I book online?

Appointments are complicated - every head of hair is different, every stylist works a little differently, and every service will require specific timing. To avoid confusion, we’d rather you left the bookings to us.

What payment methods do you accept?

As a mainly cashless business, we can only accept exact cash - there is no change till. We have many electronic payment options available- Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Afterpay, Zippay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Square Pay, and Paypal. Gift vouchers are also available.

Are walk-in appointments accepted?

We may have the capacity to take same day bookings but not walk-ins. Being a neuro-diverse, disability and pet friendly salon requires specifics, we may have particular environmental controls in place. Please get in touch to confirm ahead of time that we can facilitate you - even for consultations.

Do you offer consultations?

We offer a 15 minute complimentary consultation appointment. A consultation is strongly recommended if you have allergies that might affect your service, are in need of colour correction, or have pre-existing chemical damage. It gives us an opportunity to patch test skin and strand test hair for better results. This is also helpful if you’re wanting a more accurate quote or are unsure of what service to book. Can I get a price quote before my appointment?

We can give you a ball-park! All of our service prices are based on the skill level of individual stylists, time requirements, and the amount of product required. Pre-appointment quotes for colour services are tricky because we often don’t know exactly how much product or time will be needed before conducting your service. Check out our Service Menu for a general estimate or get in touch and we can book you in for a complimentary consultation.

Should I wash my hair before my appointment?

A shampoo is included with most of our cutting, styling, and colour services. However, if you prefer to wash your hair yourself (or if you want to make your cut service quicker), we don’t mind if you come in with your hair freshly washed. Your hair doesn’t need to be freshly washed for tinting services, but if there’s too much oil or build-up the colour might not take as well, on grey hairs especially.

For on scalp lifting and foiling services, the dirtier the better! Your natural oils help to protect your skin from irritation and help foils stay in place. There’s no need to feel self conscious about dirty hair at our salon.

Is there parking nearby?

On-site underground paid parking is available, the entrance is located on the Mort Street side of the Midnight Hotel. There is also plenty of roadside parking on Mort Street that is free after 5.30pm. Alternatively, our salon is right next to the Elouera Street light rail stop and bicycle parking is located just outside the Midnight Hotel on Elouera Street.

Is your salon wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely. The Midnight Hotel carpark has ample disability parking right next to the elevators that take you up to the lobby floor, right next to the courtyard where our salon is located. There is an accessibility ramp into the building via Elouera Street. The salon chairs can be moved to make way for your chair. Our friendly team are willing and able to assist in any way you’d prefer.

Can I bring a friend to my appointment?

Of course! A support person is always welcome. Please be aware that salon space is limited during busy periods so you may not be able to be seated together for the entirety of your appointment. If it’s really crucial to have your support person next to you throughout your service, please let us know beforehand so we can make adjustments to our schedule.

Can I bring my pet to my appointment?

We would absolutely love you to! Please let us know beforehand so that we can ensure there aren’t booked patrons with allergies. For the safety and comfort of our team and other clients, we can only facilitate well behaved fur babies. Our salon dog Salem is on duty in the shop Wednesdays, Fridays and some Tuesdays & Saturdays - he loves other pups!
